Montage Furniture Services Offers Comprehensive Area Rug Protection Plans
(Roseville, Minn., July, 2007) – Adding to its comprehensive line of home furnishings protection, Montage Furniture Services (MFS) now offers two area rug protection plans to furniture and area rug retailers.
Rising popularity of natural and synthetic wood floors have driven area rug purchases in recent years as home owners seek ways to add warmth to living areas and complement current décor.
Most furniture retailers now have entire departments dedicated to area rugs while some specialty stores have found success in selling area rugs exclusively. Customers have a wide range of style and quality choices when they purchase an area rug, and most retailers agree that considering the how and where the rug will be used is key when making a final decision.
“Home owners are likely to place their area rug in a high-traffic area, making it even more prone to mishaps. A protection plan provides peace of mind that those mishaps will be taken care of should they occur,” MFS president Alan Salmon said.
The MFS Area Rug Plus Plan provides 5-year coverage on all stains and dye transfer as well as damage caused by loss of tufts, rips and cuts, burns, loose or unattached fringe and unraveling edges.
The MFS Area Rug Plan provides 5-year coverage on all stains excluding bleach and other caustic solutions and damage caused by rips, cuts and burns.
Both MFS area rug plans cover area rugs constructed of synthetics and wool only.
